How did you discover VoluntEars?
Facebook – a friend went on a trip and posted photos.
Why did you join VoluntEars?
Wanted to see what it was like, to see a new country without the stress, safety in numbers, and to meet new people.
Why did you choose the Morocco trip?
Always wanted to visit and thought for my first time with VoluntEars a 4-day trip was ideal.
What were you looking forward to?
Everything. Seeing Marrakesh, visiting the souk, visiting the Deaf association, eating Moroccan food, camels, quad biking and meeting people.
Were you worried about anything before the trip?
Whether I would like the people in the group.
What words would you use to describe your experience in Morocco?
Amazing. Different. Unexpected.
What was your funniest or most memorable experience?
Lauren thinking we were all up really early then realising she was still on UK time!
What did you enjoy the most on the trip?
All of it.
How do you think you benefitted from the experience?
All of it. Meeting Deaf children and staff at Deaf association. I know I like tagines and not prunes.
What did you like about the VoluntEars trip?
Well organised, everything went smoothly. We did interesting and fun activities. Richard [VoluntEars Director] and Lauren [Communicator] were lovely, they made sure we were happy and any problems were sorted quickly. They were friendly as well which put me at ease. I’ve recommended VoluntEars to my friends.
How could we make the trip better in the future?
Don’t know. It all went well.
