Why did you join VoluntEars?

I wanted to gain experiences of Deaf communities abroad and develop my knowledge of sign language.

Why did you choose the Morocco trip?

I went to Nepal with VoluntEars in 2022 and it was the best thing I ever did. Morrocco was the perfect chance to get away within the restrictions of working term time.

What were you looking forward to?

I was looking forward to the trip to the Deaf Association and the evening in the desert the most.

Were you worried about anything before the trip?

No, I had been to Nepal previously with VoluntEars and was confident that they would deliver a great itinerary.

What words would you use to describe your experience in Morocco?

Outstanding experience, great itinerary, lots to do and to see and great company to do it with. Faultless.

What was your funniest or most memorable experience?

The camel ride was hilarious!

What did you enjoy the most on the trip?

The evening spent in the desert was just out of this world!

How do you think you benefitted from the experience?

My confidence has grown, I’ve now booked my assessments for my level 6 after putting them off.

What did you like about the VoluntEars trip?

I liked how everyone brings something different to the group and how well-organised it all is.

How could we make the trip better in the future?

I don’t think anything could be improved, it was brilliant!
