Through my BSL teacher.

Why did you join VoluntEars?

To help volunteer within the deaf community.

Why did you choose the Montenegro trip?

I’ve never been!!

What were you looking forward to?

Meeting new people and sharing/creating new memories.

What words would you use to describe your experience in Montenegro?

Unique and once in a life time.

What was your funniest or most memorable experience?

Most memorable: when we all climbed the top of Mount Lovcen and had a group hug to comfort Mary who was so happy it brought her to tears.

Funniest: when Richard was explaining how he got hit on the head with the car door and Claire started laughing!!!

What did you enjoy the most on the trip?

Everything!!! Learning about people’s life stories, climbing mountains, the cats! The dinners, the school.

How do you think you benefitted from the experience?

I learnt some great tips from two interpreters – Mel and Chloe – which gave me the confidence that I’m doing the right thing!!

What did you like about the VoluntEars trip?

Everything!!!
