Why did you join VoluntEars?

Looking for somewhere I can volunteer in a school with deaf children.

Why did you choose the Ghana trip?

Always wanted to go to Africa.

Teaching the children.

A memorable experience!

What was your funniest or most memorable experience?

Oh too many funny things to say! On the look out for giraffes for our USA friend, the spicy pizza, we were laughing every day from day 1! Conquering my fear of heights.

What did you enjoy the most on the trip?

Meeting the staff and children at both schools.

How do you think you benefitted from the experience?

I have gained a lot of benefits from the trip such bringing back the Ghanian children’s work to show the East Sussex deaf children as well as Ghanian Sign Language.

What did you like about the VoluntEars trip?

Everything! Richard [VoluntEars director] is awesome!
