How did you discover VoluntEars?

Been on a trip before.

Why did you join VoluntEars?

Loved Sri Lanka and wanted to come and do another trip.

Why did you choose the Morocco trip?

It was during the school holidays. Always wanted to go to Morocco and it was a nice length trip.

What were you looking forward to?

Meeting the other Volunteers, being abroad again post covid. Going to the Deaf association.

Were you worried about anything before the trip?

Nothing really, I know that everything is so well organised.

What words would you use to describe your experience in Morocco?

Memories to last a life time.

What was your funniest or most memorable experience?

The camel ride. What an experience!

What did you enjoy the most on the trip?

Everything! Meeting the other volunteers and making friends for life. Visiting the Deaf association and spending time with the children doing the different activities with them. Getting to spend time exploring the Souks. I can’t just pick 1 thing the whole trip was just incredible.

How do you think you benefitted from the experience?

Since Covid this has been our first trip abroad. The trip has given me the confidence being abroad and exploring a different country. I hadn’t signed in a good few years and this trip has got me signing again.

Everything

How could we make the trip better in the future?

It would be helpful if the pre-trip meeting was earlier with the kit list etc as I felt a little rushed to get fully prepared before the trip. [We now schedule a pre-trip on zoom 2 months before the trip].
