Why did you join VoluntEars?
I loved that I could go to places I had never been with the deaf community.
Why did you choose the Morocco trip?
I missed traveling and it was a nice timing.
What were you looking forward to?
Going to the deaf association and learning a new sign language.
What words would you use to describe your experience in Morocco?
Beautiful, the people were lovely especially where we stayed, they were very helpful.
What was your funniest or most memorable experience ?
Riding the camels! Definitely an experience to remember. Think I would do the quad biking next time!
What did you enjoy the most on the trip?
I loved meeting the deaf students and learning a new language.
How do you think you benefitted from the experience?
I felt really proud on how much international sign language I could pick up and that gave me a confidence boost!
What did you like about the VoluntEars trip?
I felt safe and was with a fantastic group of people. We had a lot of time to explore and get to know each other but we also learnt a lot about a new culture.
How could we make the trip better in the future?
Make it longer! I don’t think a weekend was enough!
