MP for Hove supports VoluntEars
We are proud that VoluntEars has been endorsed by our local MP, Peter Kyle, after he met our Director, Richard Clowes, recently.
Peter says:
“I recently met Richard Clowes, the founder and Director of an organisation called VoluntEars, who have their headquarters in my constituency of Hove.
I was really encouraged to hear such an organisation exists, to help empower the deaf community by arranging volunteer trips for people from the UK and Europe to work in VoluntEars’ partner Deaf schools in countries like Sri Lanka and Nepal.
I’m really looking forward to seeing this organisation grow and flourish. I also hope it goes some way to supporting those with hearing loss abroad who can be overlooked amid the other challenges faced in developing countries.”
Richard says:
“It was great meeting our local MP Peter Kyle and I’m really pleased to have his support as VoluntEars grows and develops into the future. Our partner Deaf schools overseas really appreciate the help and assistance they gain from our volunteers. Their help with renovation work and activities with local students makes a real difference. We look forward to helping more Deaf schools overseas in 2018.”
