Why did you choose the Peru trip?

Mountains.

What were you looking forward to?

Mountains.

Were you worried about anything before the trip?

Others in my party getting altitude sickness, not knowing enough sign language and making sure others were comfortable.

What words would you use to describe your experience in Peru?

Magical, historic, immense.

What was your funniest or most memorable experience?

The proposal was of course memorable and being on a peaceful boat ride back to Puno watching the sunset.

What did you enjoy the most on the trip?

I enjoyed feeling together with everyone. Not just VoluntEars but other people in the public and the community as well.

How do you think you benefitted from the experience? 

I feel like I’ve benefited from being able to share my experience with others and growing my empathy.

What did you like about the VoluntEars trip?

VoluntEars does a good job at giving time to get to know others, knowing new places and getting to know yourself.

Would you join another VoluntEars trip? 

Depends on other plans and time off.
