Because it is an unusual country to visit.
What were you looking forward to?
To explore cultural issues such as people, clothes, food and interesting places.
Were you worried about anything before the trip?
A bit nervous because of not knowing the group and the journey in Ghana.

Amazing and fantastic!
What was your funniest or most memorable experience?
Funniest memorable experience was the VoluntEars group trying to imitate the dancers – the most memorable experience was the road trips, Elmina castle and the canopy walks.
What did you enjoy the most on the trip?
Most of all everyday was enjoyable.
How do you think you benefitted from the experience?
After Ghana I thought a lot about Ghana and how the deaf children were educated and they were in awe with the volunteers.
What did you like about the VoluntEars trip?
The trips to deaf schools were amazing and different from our country, Elmina castle, the botanical gardens, Boti waterfalls, canopy walks which overcame my fear of heights!
