How do you think you benefitted from the experience?
New culture, learn new sign language for foreigners, interesting facts and different places.
What did you learn?
I have learnt the teamwork is very important to keep engaging and learn to support each other. Also I learn how to communicate with deaf international people.
What did you like about the VoluntEars programme?
I like the group, equipment like renovation work, talking and signing at the same time is easier to understand, exciting new things.
What did VoluntEars do well?
Communication with Sri Lankans well and making sure we are here as a group.
How can VoluntEars improve?
Just few different new destinations like Sigiriya Rock [VoluntEars: it’s too far to drive], the red mosque for Muslims [VoluntEars: we have now included this], but it’s great!.
