What words would you use to describe your experience in Nepal?

Amazing, really interesting to be in the environment and learn about the people, customs, their culture and food etc.

What did you like about the VoluntEars programme?

I really liked the balance of activities, renovation work and spending time with the children as well as having some free time.

What did you learn?

So much! Learnt about the school, Nepali food and customs, culture, traditions, and how beautiful the country is, especially the mountains!

How do you think you benefitted from the experience?

Really impacted my perception of deaf education elsewhere, how it is managed, how children are supported. Visiting the school really had a huge impact on me, and it was quite an emotional experience meeting all of the children, who have so little, but are happy at school.
