Why did you join VoluntEars?

I joined to volunteer for a Deaf international cause, gain experience for my Level 6 BSL course and make friends and memories.

Why did you choose the Nepal trip?

The dates suited me best and I wanted to take on the challenge of the trek and immerse myself in South Asian culture.

What were you looking forward to?

I was mostly looking forward to renovating the Deaf school and working with the students.

What words would you use to describe your experience in Nepal?

Fun, interesting, memorable, humbling, eye opening, amazing, beautiful,  educational.

What was your funniest or most memorable experience ?

I took a selfie whilst at the world Peace pagoda and was photo bombed by a pair of monkeys doing something rude!

What did you enjoy the most on the trip?

I enjoyed the whole experience

How do you think you benefitted from the experience?

I definitely benefitted from the experience, it has given me a lot to consider for the future and made me realise how much we take for granted. I loved every second.

What did you like about the VoluntEars trip?

Everything!

How could we make the trip better in the future?

It might be beneficial to have more than one communicator for larger groups of volunteers.
